Training here

Training at the Pattaya Gym

Rounds run four times a day, six days a week, and every pass covers all of them. A round lasts about ninety minutes and a trainer holds the pads for you one at a time. Most people who train here on a trip start with one round a day and add the second once the legs adjust to the heat.

Inside the Pattaya Gym

What you train on at the Thepprasit gym, and what is there when the round is over.

Full-size ringA full-size ring with a matted floor beside it, so pad rounds and group drills run at the same time.

Bags and padsHeavy bags, kick pads and mitts kept in working condition. Gloves and shin guards are on sale at the gym and a coach will fit them for you.

Fitness zoneStrength and cardio equipment for warm-ups and the conditioning that closes each round.

An open sided hallThe training floor is open along the sides, so air moves through the room during the afternoon rounds instead of sitting still.

Recovery zoneA swimming pool, a sauna and an ice bath sit beside the training floor, so the hours between rounds count as part of the week rather than dead time.

More than Muay ThaiBoxing, MMA, strength and conditioning and yoga run at this gym as well, and it is an official HYROX Training Club, so a pass covers open gym access too.

There are showers and lockers, parking on site, and a lounge with drinks and Wi-Fi for the hours between rounds.

Who the Pattaya Gym Suits

Both MAVINN gyms run the same timetable and the same coaching team. Here is what the Pattaya gym adds.

Training on a tripFour rounds a day means a block of training fits around the rest of a stay, instead of taking the whole week.

Recovering by the seaJomtien Beach is a short ride from the gym, so the hours between rounds are easier to spend outside.

Sleeping at the gymStay and Train puts a room on the same site, so a longer visit does not start with a journey across town before the morning round.
